​For all scheduled appointments, clients will receive a confirmatory email, text, or phone call prior to the pet’s appointment, depending on your preference. Please be sure to respond to this confirmation.
 
Upon arrival at the clinic, please come in and check in at the front desk. If you prefer to stay curbside, we are happy to offer this service. Text us at (314) 292-9442 with your pet’s name and your parking spot number. 

A letter to All from Dr. Sandino

I want to take the time to send a sincere, heartfelt thank you to all of the clients we have served over the many years of my tenure here in Carlinville and the surrounding communities.  I had no idea way back in 1983 that I would spend my entire career here with Macoupin Veterinary Clinic and now Macoupin Veterinary Services.  It is actually quite unusual for a person to spend their entire career in one place, but I am certainly glad that I did. 

Over the years, the practice certainly did go through many challenges and changes.   My/our goal was to always make continued improvement in the quality of medicine and the service by which we provided it.  I certainly hope in your eyes that we managed to do just that.  Constant and consistent improvement can be difficult to achieve and also very frustrating, but it was, and still is the primary objective.  Thank you for your patience with us during any of those trying times of change. 

I believe that the current team at Macoupin Veterinary Services is well poised to provide for your current and future needs in veterinary medicine.  Dr. Reed has been an amazing veterinarian and person to work with over the last five years.  I feel very fortunate to have worked with her and to have her take charge of the practice.  She has assembled a top notch staff, especially for a smaller practice in a rural setting.  I believe this based on conversations with other veterinarians in both large and small practices, as well as technical and service representatives from companies within the industry.  She faces a formidable challenge to keep every one happy until she can find another veterinarian that is the right fit for the practice.  I ask you for your patience in this regard. 

Everyday I wonder whether my decision to retire was the right one, but I believe it is time for me and my family to move forward into the next phase of our lives.  I will forever be grateful for the chance that you all have given me to pursue the dream and passion of a career in veterinary medicine.  I have lived a truly blessed life in the Carlinville and Macoupin county area.  For that, I thank you for being both supportive and patient with me.  I wish all of the clients a wonderful life and fulfilling relationships with their families, friends and pets.  I hope to see you again and share the wonderful memories of my time spent here.
